Very good article.

I would like to add that The Kenyan opposition leader, Raila Odinga, said that Africa should take a firm stance against Russia's aggression and invasion in Ukraine and that it was not a good time for summits in Russia.

Kenya is an important diplomatic player in Africa and beyond because it is a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, where it has been vocal about the need to end the war in Ukraine and to restore the Black Sea grain deal that Russia withdrew from.

Kenya is also a major importer of grain from Ukraine and Russia, and has been affected by the rising food prices and shortages caused by Russia's actions.
