Let’s not beat around the Pentagon-shaped bush. A bunch of overcaffeinated, underqualified Trump officials got together on Signal — yes, the texting app — to casually plan military strikes like they were booking tee times at Mar-a-Lago. And thanks to the IQ drop heard ‘round the world, they accidentally added a journalist. A real one. From The Atlantic. Because when you confuse national security with a group text, you don’t get strategy — you get a $900 billion defense budget run by guys who think Call of Duty is a doctrine.

This Wasn’t a Slip. This Was the Whole Damn Playbook.

This wasn’t “oops, our bad.” This was the system — working exactly as intended when you hand power to reality-TV rejects with security clearances. These guys weren’t governing. They were cosplaying Winston Churchill on meth — war paint, slogans, and zero f*cking clue what they were doing.

They replaced:

Strategy with slogans
Diplomacy with dad jokes
Command structures with Signal stickers

And you paid for it. In credibility, in alliances, and possibly, in blood.

Their entire strategy was built around “sending a message.” That’s it. Not to win, not to stabilize, not to avoid dragging half the planet into a regional war. Nope. Just send a message. Because nothing says “strong leadership” like a bunch of guys playing geopolitics like it’s an Instagram story.

These people weren’t strategists. They were meme lords with launch codes. No cost-benefit analysis, no red-teaming, no diplomatic planning. Just vibes, vengeance, and a war crime waiting to happen.

📺 2. The Pentagon, Sponsored by Fox News

This was the Mar-a-Lago Doctrine: conduct military planning like you’re live on Hannity. They talked about drone strikes like they were calling Super Bowl plays. One guy ID’d a target walking into his girlfriend’s building. Next line? “Building collapsed.” And everyone clapped like a f*cking Pixar movie just ended.

No mention of:

Rules of engagement
Civilian casualties
Maybe — just maybe — running this past CENTCOM

Just dudes in khakis congratulating each other like they won a bar fight.

🧠 3. Governance by Gut, Ego, and TikTok Metrics

Nobody — I mean nobody — in that thread mentioned intelligence assessments, diplomatic impact, or whether this operation would actually, y’know, work. They were too busy asking:

“Will we look weak?”
“Will this trend?”
“Can we meme this?”

That’s not policy. That’s a frat house with WiFi and warheads.

This wasn’t decision-making. It was a hormonal feedback loop, a never-ending rush to look “tough” on Twitter while dodging any adult responsibility. It’s not leadership — it’s middle school, but with drones.

Let’s talk about tone. It wasn’t serious. It wasn’t sober. It was gleeful. Like they were watching fireworks, not flattening buildings. “Excellent. Good start,” one text read. That’s not strategy. That’s the moral compass of a sociopath with a press pass.

These guys don’t know what the Geneva Convention is — and if they did, they’d think it was a hotel chain.

The way they talked about Europe — “they’re pathetic,” “make them pay” — you’d think NATO was some Kickstarter scam they regret backing. They completely ignored the fact that NATO makes U.S. power possible at a global scale. These guys want the perks of empire without the responsibilities.

You don’t demand rent from your allies. You build coalitions — unless of course, your entire worldview was assembled from a Glenn Beck whiteboard and a six-pack of Bud Light.

📱 6. And Then They Added a Journalist

Here’s the kicker: in this very serious, very professional national security conversation… they accidentally added Jeffrey f*cking Goldberg, editor of The Atlantic. That’s right. They dropped real-time war planning into a group chat with the press like it was a pizza party invitation.

Why? Because they think “encrypted” means “classified,” and “Signal” is just a cooler version of Slack. There was:

No access control
No logging
No institutional guardrails

Just a digital frat party with F-18 strike times and dudes flexing like they’re the cast of Top Gun: Dumb and Dumber.

⚖️ Final Verdict: Idiots With Missiles

Let’s not mince words: this wasn’t an accident. It was the inevitable result of handing state power to people who think “governance” means yelling on cable TV while the staff figures it out.

They didn’t just fail to plan.
They didn’t just fumble the intelligence.
They didn’t just insult allies.
They didn’t just break every goddamn security rule in the book.
They did all of it proudly, while treating airstrikes like Instagram filters.

They had no strategy, no structure, no sense — and absolutely no soul.

This wasn’t a government. It was a content engine with missile platforms. And it could’ve ended with body bags and broken treaties.
